Another Special Weekend

Blessings to you all, This evening from 5:30 – 6:30 the Knights of Columbus will be providing the “Table of Grace Community Meal” in our Fellowship Hall – The meal is available to anyone and everyone – there is no charge and I want to say – it smells pretty good. Tomorrow we celebrate the life of Elaine Bordeaux beginning with a graveside service in Bristol (Greenwood Cemetery) at 11:00 followed by a luncheon reception in our Fellowship Hall. On Sunday our focus will be on “The Great Commandment from Matthew 22:34-40 with maybe a mention of Deuteronomy 34:1-12 (the very end of the Torah). Sunday, Sunday

Blessings to you This Sunday we will focus on 1 Thessalonians 1:1-10 with a bit of an intro to those letters and Paul’s experience and a bit of background in that setting. We will also lean a bit on Matthew 22:15-22. The Sermon is entitled: “More Than Words.” We will be receiving our Neighbors In Need offering this Sunday – to support programs promoting peace and justice throughout this country. There is a lot going on in our community, in our world and in our lives. A lot of good reasons to come together. I look forward to our togetherness this Sunday. In Peace – In Christ Gary

Children's Sabbath Sunday

Our focus will be on the 23rd Psalm and there will be opportunities to reflect upon that very very popular passage and to creatively explore those reflections. Four “stations” better known as tables will be set up in the sanctuary. There will be space for creative writing – space for clay formation, space for making your own prayer beads and a space for drawing/painting. The 23rd Psalm is a reassuring passage of God’s care and protection through all times of living. As we reflect on the passage – a co

Awareness

Peace to you all, This Sunday we will focus on Philippians 3:4b-14 and Matthew 21:33-46 with a Sermon entitled: Sacred Awareness. Some things to think about: What do we hold as foundational to our identity? What motivates us? What energizes us? Just some things to consider as we prepare to gather this Sunday. I hope to see you then. In Joy Gary
