Sunday Already?

Blessings All, I will be away for the rest of the week offering pastoral care and moral guidance all-around inspiration to my fraternity brothers in Massachusetts. (Pray for them) I will be back for Sunday’s service which is filled to overflowing as we will celebrate Communion and a Baptism and even include a Message. WOW! Nick and Tori Whitten will be having their 2 year-old son Nick baptized. The scriptures for Sunday are: 2 Samuel 11:26-12:7 Ephesians 4:1-7, 11-13 and John 6:24-27a, 35 with a Message entitled: “Vocation Vocation Vocation.” That is not to be confused with Vacation Vacation Vacation. Peace INJOY Gary

A Powerful Sunday

Blessings to you all, This coming Sunday our scripture focus will be 2 Samuel 11:1-15 (today’s soap operas have nothing on the Old Testament) and John 6:1-21. We will focus on “power.” Do you have power? Does everyone have power or is it relegated to the rich and famous? Can power and faith coexist or must the faithful give up power to be faithful? I am looking forward to our time together on Sunday. Peace and Joy, Gary

Born Trinitarians

Blessings All, This afternoon/evening a group from our church will be setting up, preparing and serving a dinner (supper) for upwards of 200 people/meals at the Middlebury weekly community supper. Our church will be offering this ministry again next month on the 14th. This Sunday the scriptures will be 2 Samuel 7:1-14a and Mark 6:-34, 53-56 with a dynamic message (sermon) entitled: “Repurposing.” You may not believe that all people are born Trinitarian but maybe after the message delivered on Sunday you will. I will give you a hint: “Copernican Revolution.” I know you got it now – you are welcome. I am looking forward to our time together on Sunday INJOY Gary

Two Sundays

Blessings to you all, Tomorrow, the 4th of July, the birthday of our great country, Betty and I will be traveling with our two daughters and their families to Maine for a week. From the surface this may look like a family vacation and that is the intent, to look like a family vacation but that is not the whole story. The following is only for internal consumption, please do not share this with anyone who you respect or the one who respects you. Our sister state, the semi-great state of Maine, is under siege, threatened by an ever-growing population of lobsters. The real concern is that these lobsters may start moving onto land and if they ever get voting rights, who knows where Maine wil
