Seeking Bars

Blessings and Peace to you all, My usual Friday email is being sent on Thursday as Betty and I will be away Friday and Saturday at the Vermont Conference Annual Meeting. Sunday the scriptures are: Acts: 16:9-15 and John 5:1-9 with an interesting Message Title: “Seeking Bars.” It is Communion Sunday. If you wish to support the Deacons’ Fund there will be an opportunity to do that using the Special Offering envelopes. Have a wonderful weekend. I am looking forward to our time together on Sunday. INJOY In Christ Gary

Thresholds: Scared - Sacred

Blessings and Peace to you all, I expect that there are a lot of our faith family away this week. Some are “away – away” some are “away” and a few may be “a”. Please hold all who are travelling in prayer. This Sunday the scriptures are: Acts 11:1-18 and john 13:31-35 with a sermon entitled: “Thresholds: Scared – Sacred.” In the story in Acts, Peter crosses a threshold – moving from one room to another can be challenging. Many thresholds crossed means that things will never be the same again – and often we can not re-cross back. I am looking forward to seeing you on Sunday Following Jesus, Gary

Easter - Again?

Peace and Joy to you all, How many Easters can we have? How many are too many? Our scripture reading this coming Sunday is from Acts: 9:36-43 the raising of Tabitha. We may lean a bit on the Gospel passage: John 10:22-30 with some help from Psalm 23 as well. I am looking forward to some precious time together on Sunday. In Christ Gary

Easter Too

Blessings All, Every Sunday, in some way or another, is a celebration of Easter. This Sunday we will focus on Acts 5:27-32 and John 20:19-31. There may be a bit of dialogue message time – so if you can think of a time when you felt close to God or sensed God at work in or around you – kind of think about that for a bit. This will be the last Sunday for the bookstore – Mike will be offering 20% off all books before we return them to Hopkins Bookstore this week. Hopkins will be closing later this year and she needs the books back before the UCC annual meeting later this month. We will celebrate Communion this Sunday – if you wish to support the Deacons’ Fund you can use the special offering
