Sharing the Journey

Blessings to you all, This will be a full weekend at the church and within our church family. Sunday worship will focus on Luke 24:13-35 (The Road to Emmaus). The sermon is entitled: “Sharing the Journey” and there will be an opportunity “Share the Journey.” Robin Bentley will be joining us this Sunday for a Mission Moment. Robin will be speaking about Habitat (locally and globally). Robin is a recipient of a Habitat House in Middlebury and has been such a great support to our church in helping us plan our international trips over the past few years. Thank you Peace to you all In Faith Gary

Door Ways

Blessings to you all – again and again and again This week – this Sunday – another Easter Sunday – we will focus on John 20:19-31 with maybe a bit of help from 1 Peter 1:3-9. The Gospel passage tells of the disciples behind locked doors that first evening (Big Easter Sunday evening) and Jesus, surprisingly, without the assistance of even a door knob, enters in. This is John’s version of the Holy Spirit entering into the disciples. Even with doors closed and locked – the Spirit has a way to break through and make life happen. I look forward to our time together this Sunday – and – by the way – have you checked out this Thursday’s edition of the Addison Independent? I think our little in-ho

It is about time

Blessings to you all, This Sunday begins Holy Week, a week filled with lightness and darkness and finally lightness again. This Sunday is Palm/Passion Sunday and the children will parade around the church with palms before giving them out to the congregation. The second part of the service is, to say the least, a shift in tone and mood as we enter into the dramatic reading of the Passion. This Sunday’s service along with Maundy Thursday’s Tenebrae service are two of the most emotional service of the year and a very very important part of the story leading to Easter. Here is the Holy Week Schedule This Sunday – 9:30 Palm/Passion Sunday Maundy Thursday Tenebrae service at 7:00 in the Fello
