Blessings to you all, This weekend is a full weekend for our church – moving through the ups and downs of life. This afternoon (Friday) Andrea Scarlett and Jason Duger will be married here – with Jenny playing the organ, Betty coordinating the processional and Gary saying some words. Hold Jason and Andrea in prayer as this special couple begins their marriage today. Holy Holy Holy

Blessings All, This coming Sunday will be a special Sunday for a number of reasons. We will gather with the expectation that God will speak. The choir will make its debut in worship for the first Sunday this season. We will welcome two new members into the church during worship this Sunday. The scriptures are: Exodus 16:2-21 (Manna from Heaven) and Matthew 20:1-16 (The Unfair Land Owner) with a sermon entitled: “Enough Is Enough.” If that is not enough – the opening hymn will be “Holy Holy Holy.” If that is not enough – the Deacons will be providing water (hydration) during the service as we expect the temps to be a bit on the high side. What a weekend!

Blessings to you all, Saturday --- Due to summer-like weather conditions all the golf courses in our area might be closed tomorrow – which works well for our MEN’S BREAKFAST beginning at 8:30 in the Fellowship Hall. All men are invited to come and share a simple breakfast and join in some time of discussion around possibilities mission purpose and vision. Fun Fall Fest -- From 10 – 2 we will be set up on the City Green offering free lunch and an array of activities for the children. Mums will be for sale – $10.00 with all proceeds along with any free-will donations going to support our 2018 Mission Fund – providing a bit of financial help to many in our area. Blessings to you all – again and again As I sent out earlier – this evening and tomorrow evening Middlebury College students will be staying in our church. Tomorrow I will be celebrating the life of Phebe Runyon at a graveside service in East Middlebury. Phebe was very active in the Salisbury church and I knew her as we both worked within the Association. At 1:00 – we will gather at a cemetery on Monkton Road to remember Turtle Panton at a graveside committal service. On Sunday – the choir will begin practicing at 8:30. Off the Couch

Blessings All, This Sunday is “Communion Sunday” and “Water Sunday” and more. The scriptures for this Sunday are: Exodus 3:1-15 and Matthew 16:21-28 with a message entitled: “Off the Couch.” In the Exodus text - what gets Moses moving? The Deacons’ Fund has been used a lot to support ministries in our church – if you would like to support it we will have special offering envelopes in the pews this Sunday or you may send a check into Kathy with a memo (Deacons’ Fund).
