In --Sight

Blessings All, Tonight is the Community Supper in our Fellowship Hall. This month St. Paul’s Episcopal Church will be cooking and serving lasagna. What a ministry of space and people and Spirit. This Sunday we will focus on Genesis 17:1-7, 15-16 and 18:11-12. Abram and Sarai both laughed. Our Gospel text is from Mark chapter 8:31-38 with a sermon entitled: “In Sight.” Tuesday evening 5:30 – 9:00 will be our monthly Laundry Love event – providing free laundry for anyone coming to or getting to Vergennes Laundromat. Sorting things out

Blessings to you all, This Sunday is the first Sunday in Lent (of Lent) The texts we will focus on are: Genesis 9:8-17 and Mark 1:9-15. The sermon title is: “Sorting Things Out.” Where do you go or what process do you when you just need to sort things out? We will focus a bit on the wilderness experiences in these stories and maybe in our own. This Sunday we will also affirm and dedicate the officers and newly elected board and committee members including the “Laying On Of Hands” for the Deacons. This Sunday the children will be focusing with Abigail on the parables. This Sunday – right after church – will be our first Confirmation Class with Abigail and Marybeth and me facilitating. I

Are We Listening?

Blessings All, We will gather to worship this Sunday. We will share in the gift of grace through the sacrament of baptism as Thomas Cecil Armell, the son of Heather Morse and Gregory Armell and the grandson of Dan and Melinda Morse will be baptized. The scripture focus for Sunday will be Mark 9:2-9 (The Transfiguration) with a Message entitled: “Are You Listening?” I look forward to our time together on Sunday – see you then In Faith Gary

In & Out

Blessings All, This Sunday is Communion Sunday. We are continuing our journey into the Gospel of Mark. The text this week is: Mark 1:29-34. The message is entitled: “Journey Inward – Journey Outward.” We will look at portions of Chapter 1` of Mark leading up to and including verses 29-34. The Deacons will have copies of this year’s Lenten Devotional : “Lovers and Fools.” Lent begins on the 14th and ends with Easter on April 1st (get it?). If you wish to support the Deacons’ Fund you can use the special offering envelope in the pews this Sunday (Communion Sunday) Peace and Joy and Health and WARMTH Gary
