A Sticky Easter
Blessings to you all,
We are in the midst of – together.
Thank you to everyone who participated in and witnessed the Palm Passion Sunday experience. Thank you to all who made the Maundy Service again – a special time remembering a very special event. Thank you to all who plugged into the Vigil this year. Thank you to those who came to the Good Friday Ecumenical Service, just completed at the North Ferrisburgh Methodist Church. We are in the MIDST OF IT TOGETHER.
Tomorrow morning (Saturday) all children are invited to an Easter Egg Hunt and Party beginning at 9:30 with the hunt set for 10:15. We can use a few older ones to help out setting things up around 8:30.
Easter Sunday morning begins early again this year with skilled, semi-skilled and utterly unskilled but loveable laborers gathering to set up, cook, serve and clean up the gourmet, not-to-be-missed Easter Breakfast. If you can help out – please stop by 5:30 would be good – anytime will work. The meal begins at 7:00.
We again will be coordinating the Easter Sunrise Service at Comfort Hill Farm beginning at 6:45. Youth types – we can use your help – even your half-awake help. We will meet at the church no later than 6:30 to organize ourselves.
Our major worship service will be at 9:30 with the focal text being: John 20:1-18 and the Message entitled: “Sticking With Easter.” The cross that was carried in over our heads on Palm Sunday will be transformed again this year.
We are in the Midst of It – together. Invite friends to share in the Easter experience with you.
I look forward to seeing you this weekend.
