Worship Weather

Blessings to you all,

No matter what the outside weather is like – snowy or rainy, windy or calm, grey skies or blue – it is always worship weather and the weather gets better and better when you are here. This Sunday the focus scripture text will be Luke 3:15-17, 21-22 and the sermon (interactive sermon) is entitled: “Named and Claimed.” We will be talking about the baptism of Jesus and his life-changing affirming experience. The wonderful gift of God’s affirming love is a gift we all (everyone of us) needs. If you know of someone who is feeling a bit down or “less than” take a risk and invite them to worship here this Sunday. Their presence – your presence – our presence will add spirit to the weather of worship we share.

Following worship we will have coffee time downstairs in the Fellowship Hall and at 11:00 Chessy Kelley will be up in the sanctuary to lead in a half-hour guided meditation. (Child Care Is Provided).

There will also be (following worship and a sip of coffee) a gathering of anyone interested in knowing more about a future “Caring Ministry.” We will meet in the upstairs of the Manse – just across the interior bridge from the church to the Manse. We will meet for no more than 45 minutes to share the concept of this ministry, talk about the expectations and answer any questions. (Again- Child Care Is Provided).

I hope to see you on Sunday – Weather or Not

In Christ
