This weekend, again, will be culminating in the peak experience of Sunday worship together. The focus text will be John 12:1-8. The setting of the text is Bethany – 2 miles from Jerusalem. The day is Saturday – JUST BEFORE PALM SUNDAY – entering into Holy Week. I thought we might do a bit of sharing on Sunday. Can you recall a special “smell” from your childhood? I know what 4 of you are thinking right now – but that is NOT what I had in mind.
The Mission Flowers will be “gracing” the sanctuary – -- If you purchased any of them – take them home on Sunday. The Deacons are offering the Watch Night Vigil again this year and you can sign up for a 1-hour time slot between Maundy Thursday 8:00 until Good Friday at 3:00.
Following worship this Sunday the Christian Ed Transition Team will be holding their second gathering as we look to the future. The two questions which will provide focus for discussions are: “Imagine our Christian Education program two years from now ... what would it look like, sound like, feel like? “ and “What would it take to make our vision come alive? Time? Talents? Resources?
I look forward to seeing you on Sunday
Peace and Joy
