Sustaining Jesus

March 17, 2017

Blessings to you all,

Happy sunny – if not warm Friday

There is a lot of good stuff going on this weekend.

From 4-6 this afternoon Abigail is facilitating an ART time for teens and adults as we focus on the Pentecostal  spirit of fire and wind in Acts 2.

Tomorrow – Saturday – Jenny and two other very gifted musicians will offer a Baroque concert here in the sanctuary beginning at 4:00.  Jenny will be playing her harpsichord.

Two days from now – Sunday – we will gather for worship.  The text for the day will be John 4:5-32.  This is that wonderful passage of Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well.  The sermon title is:  “Sustaining Jesus.”  How do you read (interpret) that title?  Is Jesus a sustaining presence?  What sustains Jesus?  Any hints from the scripture passage from John?

Following worship and a bit of coffee and some goodies – we will meet upstairs in the Manse to study the 2nd chapter of Acts.  If you have some time, read it through  and ask yourself what draws your attention within that chapter?   Is there a message to the world found in this passage?  Is there a message to our church found in this passage?  Is there a message to you found in this passage?  We will explore these together.

O – just a reminder – the time changed last weekend.  You are welcome.

Peace and Joy to you all,
