Blessings to you all,
I hope everyone is having an opportunity to enjoy the gift of the season. Slowing down a bit is not bad – re-creating away from the routines – is not bad – sharing in worship on Sunday – is NOT BAD.
The first text for this Sunday will be from Genesis portions of chapter 24 – the story of Abraham seeking a wife for his son Isaac. This is an interesting story and I think I may just tell it as a paraphrased version. I may refer to it during the sermon – but the main focus for the sermon comes from Matthew 11:16-19 and 25-30. The sermon is entitled: “The Inviting Yoke.”
There will be two sign-up sheets for Mission outreach – One for the Habitat work day on Saturday July 22nd and the other for the Community Dinner in Middlebury for Friday – July 14th.
If you are out and about with family and or friends – Fantastic – if you are in and about around here – join in worship here with family and friends.
May God Bless You All
In Faith
Gary
